Who Are We?

City Works is a Neighbourhood Renewal Funded (NRF) Project that offers advice and guidance to people looking to access employment and training within Hull.

One Step works alongside many city partners to address the employment and training needs of local people. We work directly with employers in the city to ensure that local vacancies within the area are promoted through Jobcentre Plus and One Step.

We are committed to providing the support and ongoing customer care to ensure you find the right employment path that suits you.

We will assess your skills and experiences and match these to the potential opportunities that arise though ‘One Step’. The team is available to discuss with you what vacancies are available and will be able to sign post you to other services in the city that may assist you in your search for employment.

The services of City Works are available to you through three routes: One Step Shop, Ferensway City Works Outreach Project
One Step Shop is on Ferensway offering a drop-in service featuring job vacancy display boards and specialised advisors that can assist on issues such as benefit allowances, disability and getting back into the workplace.

City Works Outreach project focuses on reaching out into the communities within Hull, enabling us to reach audiences that may have otherwise not have access to up-to-date employment information. A large part of our outreach work is to come into your area and bring information to you on training and jobs.

We aim to assist you in accessing information on employment related issues. You may need us to assist you in doing your CV or completing an application form for a job. Even if we can’t help you we can sign post you to an organisation that can.
